Rachel and Zalks joined us this week. We hadn’t seen them for a week because poor Zalks had fallen over and really hurt herself. We were a little worried about how she would cope, but she was a trooper not complaining once on the whole walk.

It was a warm day and we started today’s walk in Otley following the same route as the Six Dales Trail to Clifton.
From Clifton it was a new paths that we’d never walked before. There was lots of walking through farm land and interestingly, instead of seeing lots of sheep like normal we saw lots of cows instead.

The views of the countryside were beautiful on this sunny Saturday. It was a really pleasant walk. Some horrible stiles though that had seen better days and not a big dog friendly walk.

After a point in the walk Ilkley Moor was dominating the distance and I imagine we’ll be heading in that direction next week when we continue this walk.

I’m happy because I managed to wear my walking boots for the whole walk, maybe finally they are starting to break in? Rachel was trying out a new freaky sock to see if it stops her toes rubbing and reported good things. Maybe our footwear issues will ease up for a little bit now?

All in all though a good, easy walk without too many hills. Came in at 9 miles.
