Winter wonderland at Fewston

Rachel and I have been unable to co-ordinate a walk this weekend so Zara and I went on an adventure.  Our original plan was to head towards Haworth and do a walk there, but it was -10 overnight and I don’t know how clear of snow the roads are.  We changed our plans and instead did a walk around Fewston, which was a balmy -2 when we got there.

Fewston was beautiful.  The reservoir was frozen and I got to show Zara how throwing a stone on the ice makes an awesome bonging noise.

One of my favourite things to do in the winter
We were accompanied by a friendly little robin for a while who kept flying near us

A perfect way to stretch the legs and walking in the snow upped the difficulty a little.  Despite how many times we have walked this reservoir we got to one section and Zara had to ask which way as we couldn’t see the path.

So much snow!

Icicles forming on the streams
